ACT Patchkabel die beste Lösung für reine Kupfer Patch Kabel

With patch cables, your active devices are being connected to the net- work wiring system. These short, yielding connections are essential for the performance of your data network.
Data networks are constructed with great care and checked with certified equipment to ensure it’s performance over longer periods of time. At the moment, manufacturers give warranties up to 25 years on the perfor- mance of these cables.
Since the introduction of twisted pair cables during the mid-90’s, this copper cable has experienced a major evolution. The ever growing need in expanded bandwidth has evolved this originating telephone cable into a high performance cable. Copper cable systems are divided into various categories, of which category 1 to 4 are currently not in use.
Category 5/5E
Category 5, With a 100 MHz bandwidth, can be used for 100 Mbps Ethernet networks, but is not suitable for Gigabit networks. Category 5E is applicable for gigabit networks; this cable category can be used
for 100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps Ethernet networks. These data networks are, besides Ethernet networks, also applicable to many other protocols such as analogue telephone, ISDN, ATM, Token Ring and RS-232 up to a distance of max. 100 metres.
Category 6
Category 6, with a bandwidth of 250 MHz, can be
used for 100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps Ethernet net-
works, up to a maximum length of 100 metres. Ten
Gigabit Ethernet can be used for a maximum length
of 55 metres. When the cables are bundled, because of alien crosstalk, the maximum length is only 37 metres. These data networks are, besides Ethernet, also applicable in many other protocols, such as analogue telephone, ISDN, ATM, Token Ring and RS-232 up to a maximum length of 100 metres.
Category 6A
Category 6A, with a bandwidth of 500 MHz, can be
used for 100 Mbps, 1000 Mbps and 10 Gigabit Ether-
net networks up to a maximum length of 100 metres.
These data networks are, besides Ethernet, also appli-
cable in other protocols, such as analogue telephone, ISDN, ATM, Token Ring and RS-232 up to a maximum of 100 metres.
The previously mentioned maximum cable length of 100 metres consists of 90 metres solid assembly cable and 10 metres flexible patch cable. As flexible patch cables have a high attenuation, the maximum length decre- ases when using patch cables longer than 10 metres.
ACT quality
Patch cables are fitted with full copper conductors and comply with the ANSI/TIA-568-B2-1 performance requirements.
The combination of a well-structured copper data network, reliable active devices and copper patch cables ensure a trouble-free operating network which you will enjoy for a long period of time. By applying materials con- form to the standard, your active network devices will be able to perform optimally and without failure.
ACT: specifications verified by independent enforcing authorities
Independent test institutes secure the quality of all ACT patch cables. They test cables according to ISO/IEC, IEC, CENELEC and ANSI/TIA/EIA specifications and certify cables to ensure a certain level of quality.
Five year warranty
As ACT is in accordance with these high demands, ACT supplies a 5 year warranty on the performance of its products.
ACT Component Level patch cables
In many modern buildings, large, open areas are created where desks are grouped as different sets of islands. In order to connect all these desk users to the existing networks, so called consolidation points are often used.
With this technique, outlets to various locations are created in batches. The outlets are placed above ceilings in order to be flexible; this way, ex- tra connections to the desks can be realised. This enables more transitions Within the network, causing more attenuation (loss) with every extra connection. More components are applied within one channel (the entire connection between the switch and the PC).
As a result, components have to comply with higher requirements. Patch cables have to be individual components for Category 5E or Category 6 (therefore the indication ‘component level’). ACT Component Level patch cables fully comply with these standards and are particularly suitable for the four connector link application which always is applied within conso- lidation points.
Full high standard compliance of the Component Level patch cables enable application within all renowned branded networks. The mixed use of various branded components is also being referred to as mix and match.
